Talking newspaper to be launched.

A NEW service for blind and partially sighted people in the Beverley area is about to be launched.

The Beverley and District Talking Newspaper is the brainchild of David and Clare Allan, who run a similar operation in the Driffield area.

Each week, they and fellow-volunteers record a 75-minute programme containing news from the local papers.

From April, people in Beverley and the surrounding area will be able to receive a similar service.
